Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred
Current State of Texas license to practice as Registered Professional Nurse
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC or CCRN preferred
Required to obtain within 18 months of hire: audit ATLS, obtain CFRN & NRP and EMT-P by the Texas Department of State Health Services or Licensed Paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services

Responsibilities

Delivers patient care at a competent level according to RN skills inventory and patient needs.
Coordinates planning for delivery of patient treatment with the multidisciplinary team.
Directs the healthcare team to attain positive outcomes and discharge/transfer plans.
Evaluates quality of care and assists with standards of care and performance issues.
Participates in Life Flight activities: PR, EMS committees, CE offerings and training.
Ensures safe care within policies and budget, manages time and supplies.
