Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks an Experienced RN for the Duke Life Flight Code Team. The role focuses on rapid, high-quality emergency nursing care for both adult and pediatric patients, utilizing ALS delivery models to stabilize, resuscitate, and transport when needed.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, and coordination of patient care across the transport continuum, with emphasis on teamwork, communication, and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications

• Two years of current Emergency Department nursing experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Licensed registered nurse in North Carolina or compact RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care.
• Deliver high quality emergency care as part of the rapid response Code Team.
• Assess patients using nursing process and plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Maintain safety and comfort for patients and families during transport and on-scene care.
• Collaborate with referring and receiving teams to ensure continuity of care.
