Job summary

Sunset Woods Senior Living is seeking an Activities Supervisor to plan, implement, and oversee the residents' activities program. You will work with the Activities team to build a diverse calendar that fosters independence, participation, and leadership across all care levels.

The role emphasizes engagement with residents, collaboration with community partners, and opportunities for volunteers, while ensuring supplies and transportation for activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• College degree in Recreation Therapy or Human Services is preferred.
• Two years of equivalent work experience in the field is preferred.
• Experience with small group socialization and creative programming for older adults is preferred.
• Experience in managing staff and volunteers is preferred.
• Current CPR/first aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and oversees the Activities program for residents.
• Creates a multi-faceted daily/monthly calendar suitable for all care levels.
• Transports residents to activities and events in the community.
• Establishes and maintains community partnerships for diverse programming.
• Offers opportunities for resident volunteer projects.
• Ensures activities supplies are ordered and available.
