Golden Years Adult Day Health Care is built on the values of respect, kindness, empathy, community, and care.
We are seeking a warm, patient, and attentive caregiver to provide in-home companionship, supervision, and age-appropriate engagement for a 2.5-year-old with developmental delays.
The caregiver will not provide formal therapy but will reinforce age-appropriate skills and keep him engaged in a safe, supportive home environment.
He is a sweet, shy child who experiences “stranger danger” and prefers to stay close to his mother. He wears hearing aids, so the ideal caregiver will be calm, gentle, and not loud or boisterous. A nurturing, motherly personality would be a great fit.
He loves music and has kid-friendly instruments in the home. He also enjoys cars, dinosaurs, and watching trash-truck shows. The caregiver should be comfortable engaging him through play, music, and simple activities that hold his interest.
The child’s mother and father also live in the home.
The mother will provide transportation and remain responsible for driving.
The caregiver will not be responsible for dressing, bathing, or general housecleaning.
The best fit will be compassionate, dependable, patient, and experienced or comfortable working with young children with developmental delays. This caregiver should enjoy interactive play, be safety-focused, and provide a calm, encouraging presence that helps the child feel secure and supported.
The primary goal of this position is to provide safe, attentive companionship and supervision while keeping the child engaged and supporting his continued developmental progress.
