Job summary

Golden Years ADHC in McKee, KY is seeking two female caregivers to provide coverage seven days per week. The role requires non-smokers with strong CNA-level hands-on caregiving experience, and comfort with care for a mostly bedridden, non-verbal client.

Care involves three meals daily with puree food preparation, personal hygiene, companionship, and safety-focused daily living support in a family-centered home environment. Weekend hours are 10am-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

About The Role

Client has significant hand-eye coordination challenges.

Client is mostly bedridden, though is up during the day.

Client is non-verbal but fully aware, and able to understand what is happening around them.

Clean, non smoking environment.

Caregivers may occasionally be asked to assist with errands or travel-related needs.

Ideal Match

The best match will be a compassionate, attentive, verbal caregiver who is naturally nurturing and comfortable providing individualized, interactive care.

Non-smoker

Experienced with total-care, non-verbal adults and hands-on personal care.

Able to maintain good eye contact and communicate directly with client, even though they cannot respond verbally.

Engaging and conversational; willing to read aloud and provide companionship.

Familiar with or open to using five-senses therapy and other meaningful engagement.
