Job description

Join to apply for the Life Enrichment Specialist (Health Care Tech II) role at State of North Carolina.

This full-time position at Black Mountain Neuro Medical Treatment Center involves assisting residents with meaningful activities and participating as part of an interdisciplinary team to enhance residents' quality of life. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is currently offered.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing enjoyable and meaningful activities tailored to residents' needs and preferences.
  • Interacting with residents respectfully and ensuring their safety during activities.
  • Collaborating with various disciplines such as Recreational Therapy, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized activity environment.
  • Documenting activities accurately and timely in electronic records.

The role does not require Nurse Aide I certification. The usual work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with rotating evenings and weekends. Flexibility for training and emergencies is required.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional certifications like Nurse Aide II or EMT may be required for continued employment.
