Job summary

Front Porch Communities & Services seeks a Life Enrichment Specialist at Villa Gardens Retirement Community to plan and implement wellness programming across six dimensions of whole-person well-being. You will lead activities for residents across care levels and may assume department leadership in the Life Enrichment Director’s absence.

Summary

Responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Front Porch Vitality Initiative by planning and carrying out comprehensive programming, activities and events addressing the six dimensions of whole person wellness in all levels of service/care. The Life Enrichment Specialist may be asked to provide departmental leadership in the absence of the Life Enrichment Director.

Location & Hours

Villa Gardens Retirement Community.

Pay Range: $24.81 - $28.00

Sunday-Thursday: 9am-5:30pm

Detailed Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service to residents, families, co-workers and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
• Implements individualized programs and services for residents at every level of care, including those in memory care suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s, skilled nursing, medical assistance, and fully independent residents.
• Works closely with all departments associated with activity programs.
• Collaborates with outside community organizations to enhance programming.
• Coordinates transportation and volunteer participation for Life Enrichment programming.
• Operates relevant technical equipment required for a comprehensive Life Enrichment program.
• Maintains knowledge of and compliance with OBRA and Title 22 guidelines.
• Utilizes computer, office, adaptive, and recreation program equipment and supplies.
• Operates within departmental budget and is fiscally responsible.
• Supervises 1–4 Life Enrichment Assistants and volunteers.
• When applicable to SNF facilities: Regularly assesses residents’ abilities related to activities; participates in resident care plan development; documents required by facility and government agencies; maintains attendance records and monitors attendance in SNF and/or memory care.
• Follows department safety standards, practices body mechanic techniques, and participates in campus-wide safety programs.
• Performs all duties safely and efficiently; wears PPE and reports safety hazards or incidents.
• Attends mandatory meetings and in‑services as required by the Executive Director.
• Promotes a safe work environment by providing equipment with safeguards and adequate safety instructions.

Education & Experience
