Job summary

Danbury Senior Living in Brunswick, OH is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant (Activities Assistant) to support planning and delivering resident programs. This role involves coordinating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual activities, with weekend shifts and occasional bus outings.

You will work with the Life Enrichment Director to create engaging experiences, require patience, compassion, and a positive outlook, and help foster a warm, family-like community for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living activities is helpful but not required.
• Must be patient, compassionate, and caring.
• Strong positive attitude and love of seniors.
• Memory care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director in planning and implementing resident activities.
• Lead recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs.
• Organize group outings, exercise classes, arts and crafts, and games.
• Support residents and contribute to a warm, welcoming community.

What do Life Enrichment Assistants do at Danbury?

Our Life Enrichment Assistants help the Life Enrichment Director in planning and implementing resident activities. These activities are recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs. Some examples are: exercise classes, arts and crafts, musical entertainment, group outings, trivia and bingo, brain games, church services, and much more!

What experience or skills do you need to be a Life Enrichment Assistant at Danbury?

• Experience in a senior living activities / life enrichment department is helpful, but not required.
• It is essential that our Life Enrichment Assistants are patient, compassionate, and caring.
• A great outlook, cheerful disposition, and love of seniors are a must.
• Memory Care experience is a plus!
