Job summary

Bridgeway Park Superior Senior Living Community is seeking an experienced Life Enrichment Assistant to develop, coordinate, and evaluate activities for residents. The role emphasizes creating inclusive programs that address physical, social, intellectual, artistic, and spiritual needs while engaging volunteers and community resources.

The assistant will manage calendars, lead 1:1 and group activities, and support special events, including holiday programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate in activity programming or equivalent preferable, college education a plus.
• Good physical health.
• Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults.
• Ability to train, supervise, lead, and motivate people.
• Ability to delegate responsibility while maintaining oversight of daily activities and major projects.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a complex workload.
• Possess exceptional communication and language, both oral and written, to perform job duties and communicate with residents, staff, family members, etc. as needed.
• Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed/scheduled for activity programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program to meet residents' physical, social, intellectual, artistic, and spiritual needs.
• Include large group, small group, and 1:1 activities, plus special events.
• Communicate and inform management of programs and events.
• Cultivate community resources and entertainers for activities and events.
• Create monthly activity calendar with dates, times, and locations.
• Oversee activities and encourage resident involvement.
• Coordinate and host special events, including holidays.
