Job summary

Maple Valley Memory Care in Oregon seeks a lively, proactive Life Enrichment Director to lead hands-on activities that keep residents healthy in body, mind, and spirit. You will plan and run programs tailored to each person.

You’ll create weekly schedules, recruit and supervise volunteers, organize parties and community events, and arrange transportation as needed. This role requires a collaborative spirit, strong communication, and comfort with technology.

Qualifications

• Experience with crafts, art, or music is a plus.
• Ability to work well with others, handle multiple tasks, stay positive and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with computers, tablets, Word, email and social media.
• Valid driver’s license; may need to drive the company bus or a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run recreation, social, fitness, wellness and spiritual programs.
• Create a weekly seven-day activity schedule and monthly calendar.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and outings.
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteers; plan parties and decorations; host monthly birthdays.
• Help plan and run community events, including new resident welcome.
• Arrange transportation to events and activities; may drive the company bus.
• Hire and manage program leaders, performers, religious workers, and vendors.
