Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Summit Place, Columbia, SC, seeks an Activities Coordinator to enhance the SRI experience for residents through engaging, well-organized programs. You will develop monthly calendars, lead activities, and collaborate with families, staff, and volunteers to create enjoyable and meaningful experiences.

The role emphasizes empathy, safety, HIPAA compliance, teamwork, and clear communication to support resident well-being and social engagement. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates and adheres to a monthly activity calendar.
• Speaks to/interacts with residents at all care levels with empathy and respect.
• Coordinates special events for residents, families, and staff.
• Transports and supervises residents on outings and doctor’s visits.
• Screens, recruits, trains, and coordinates volunteers.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for all residents.
• Provides training and support to staff on life enrichment programming.
• Acts as facilitator and takes minutes at resident council meetings.
• Follows up on concerns discussed at resident council meetings with management.
• Observes and reports changes in residents’ health and emotional condition.
• Demonstrates prioritization and effective time management.
• Responds promptly to residents’ requests for assistance.
• Communicates effectively with residents in understandable language.
• Observes and reports safety hazards to supervisor.
• Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Mentors new employees and takes initiative on special projects.
• Assists residents in dining and activities of daily living as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
