Cedarhurst of Arnold, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Life Enrichment Coordinator (Activities Coordinator) at our community.

As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to connect with, and positively impact the lives of, our residents daily! By planning, coordinating, and managing activities, holiday celebrations, and special events within our community, you will have the opportunity to enrich our residents' minds, bodies, and spirits. Success in this role will mean smiles on our residents' faces and laughter filling the halls of our community.

In this role, you will work alongside the Life Enrichment Director and the community's Executive Director to ensure our residents can choose from a variety of activities and programs to fill their days.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in planning, scheduling, and leading community activities, holiday celebrations, and special events
  2. Introducing new residents and their families to the community's enrichment programs
  3. Assisting in resident assessments and completing or ensuring completion of Life Stories
  4. Taking activity attendance and managing family messaging in our electronic platform
  5. Attending monthly virtual education meetings provided by Home Office Support
  6. Driving the community bus for outings and appointments as needed
  7. Completing other tasks as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director or Executive Director

Qualifications include:

  1. Genuine passion for caring for seniors and individuals with dementia
  2. Ability to work well with others, communicate clearly, and take initiative
  3. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings
  4. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  6. Physical ability to perform the job duties, including lifting up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with assistance
