Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is seeking a Life Inspired Coordinator in Washington, DC to design and lead a vibrant calendar of programs that keep residents engaged and connected. You will collaborate with the Life Inspired Director to spark conversation, share passions, and build meaningful relationships.

You will design group and one-on-one activities that support residents socially, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, including memory care programming where offered.

Qualifications

• Strong, engaging communication skills with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public.
• Creativity and initiative to design diverse programs for adults of all interests.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead engaging programs such as art workshops, history talks, music, and games for residents.
• Support planning, scheduling, and execution of activities per Life Inspired standards.
• Build warm relationships with residents, families, staff, and the community.
• Recruit, guide, and support volunteers; lead by example with Meridian’s values.
• Operate community vehicle following safety procedures and ensure calendars stay current.
