SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director, the Life Enrichment Coordinator will assist in planning, coordinating and implementing therapeutic activity programs on a daily basis to meet the individual Resident's needs and interests. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will be responsible for completing documentation on their unit in accordance with facility policies.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum – High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with previous recreation experience in a health care setting.
Preferred – Bachelors’ degree in recreation or related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Successfully complete Safe Food Handling Part I and II during orientation process.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Good interpersonal skills, shows sensitivity to the needs, interests, and abilities of the residents.
Conforms to established work hours and maintains an acceptable work attendance record.
