Job summary

Nye Health Services in Fremont, Nebraska is seeking a part-time Life Enrichment Associate to lead activities, build relationships with residents, and help make our community feel like home. The role includes rotating weekends and may offer morning or afternoon shifts.

You will plan, organize, and facilitate programs that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being, while collaborating with nursing and therapy staff to support care plans.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creativity, patience and enthusiasm for engaging with residents.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules.
• Lead group and individual activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, music, outings, and educational programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation and community engagement.
• Observe and document participation, mood and behavior changes.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary and therapy staff to support care plans.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for activities.
• Assist with events and holiday programs.
• Communicate with families regarding participation and achievements.
• Stay current on best practices and regulatory requirements related to life enrichment.

Job Summary:

The Life Enrichment Associate plays a key role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging programs and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. This role fosters meaningful connections, encourages participation, and ensures a vibrant, supportive community environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
• Lead group and individual activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, music, outings, and educational programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation, fostering social interaction and community engagement.
• Observe and document resident participation, progress, and any notable changes in mood or behavior.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, dietary, and therapy staff, to address resident needs and support care plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all activities.
• Assist with special events, celebrations, and holiday programs.
• Communicate with family members regarding resident participation and notable achievements.
• Stay current on best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements related to life enrichment programs.
