Job summary
Presbyterian Homes & Services' Lexington Landing in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant/Recreation Assistant to implement and monitor engaging resident activities and leisure programs in line with policies and best practices.
The role is on-call, reporting to the Life Enrichment Director, and supports residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care by creating diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, social interaction, and personal growth.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) required.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and initiative.
- Good rapport with residents, staff, families and volunteers.
- Strong command of English for communication with residents and team.
Responsibilities
- Implement activities that provide meaning and joy for residents.
- Meet psychosocial and activity needs through routines and varied programming.
- Participate in Chat Circles with residents and staff daily.
- Assist residents with activities of their choice, individually or in groups.
- Take residents outdoors or on site community outings.
- Participate in outings and special events.
- Assist with errands, correspondence, reading/writing letters as needed.
- Provide one-on-one interaction based on resident preferences.
- Transport residents within the community.
