Job summary

Maple Knoll Village in Oxford, OH, is seeking a Life Enrichment Associate for The Knolls of Oxford (a BHI Community). You will lead activities that support social connection, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being, creating personalized experiences for residents.

The role emphasizes building relationships, coordinating calendars, and ensuring programs include educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident.
  • Assist with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities.
  • Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs.
  • Posts activity reminders to encourage participation.
  • Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean up for such events.
  • Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments.
  • Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently.
  • Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.
  • Fulltime Day shift 9:00a -5:00p every other weekend and every other holiday.

Who You Are:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic computer-related skills and the ability to learn how to operate office and audio-video equipment.
  • Previous activity experience in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility.
