Job summary

Westminster Village North in Indianapolis is seeking a Life Enrichment Associate to deliver engaging programs and exceptional guest experiences for residents. You will help create calendars, plan educational, entertainment, spiritual and physical activities, and assist with event setup.

The role emphasizes compassionate care within a supportive, team-oriented environment. This position offers full-time hours, on-site work, and opportunities to grow professionally within the Westminster Village

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn office/AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to written assessments and care plans; document progress for each resident.
• Assist with monthly calendar and schedule events.
• Help plan educational, entertainment, spiritual and physical activities.
• Post reminders to encourage participation.
• Decorate areas for events and support setup and cleanup.
• Coordinate transportation to events and appointments.
• Maintain activity supplies for residents who participate independently.
• Address problems with residents, families or sponsors.

In This Role You Will:

1. 1. Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident.
2. 2. Assists with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities.
3. 3. Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs.
4. 4. Posts activity reminders to encourage participation.
5. 5. Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean up for such events.
6. 6. Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments.
7. 7. Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently.
8. 8. Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Required: must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic computer-related skills and the ability to learn how to operate office and audio-video equipment.
