Pines Village Continuing Care Retirement Community is seeking a Full-Time Activity Assistant to join the Assisted Living and Memory Care team in Manchester Township, NJ. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and facilitating engaging recreational, social, cognitive, and wellness activities for residents.

The ideal candidate SH/ memory care passion, strong communication, and a patient, compassionate approach to seniors. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in activity programming in senior care preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement daily activity programs for Assisted Living residents.
• Lead group and individual activities to support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being.
• Coordinate special events, celebrations, and community outings.
• Encourage resident participation and foster an inclusive environment.
• Develop and publish monthly activity calendars.
• Maintain activity records and documentation as required.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, families, volunteers, and other departments to meet resident needs.
• Assist with transporting or accompanying residents to activities and events when necessary.

• Lead group and individual activities designed to support residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Coordinate special events, entertainment, holiday celebrations, and community outings.
• Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Develop and publish monthly activity calendars.
• Maintain activity records and documentation as required.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, families, volunteers, and other departments to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six (6) months of activity programming experience in an Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
• Experience working with residents with dementia and memory impairment preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to be creative, enthusiastic, and resident-focused.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to work occasional weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
