Job summary

Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk is hiring a Part-Time Life Enrichment Assistant (Activities Assistant) to support our memory care community. The role involves implementing a diverse program for residents, assisting other departments as needed, and coordinating engaging activities for residents with mild memory loss.

You will join a caring team that values creativity and a strong customer-service mindset. The position offers part-time hours: 11am-7pm on Sundays and 9:30am-5:30pm on Mondays and

Qualifications

• Must be creative, enthusiastic and outgoing with the ability to work independently.
• Must have excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Strong customer service experience with families in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Some computer knowledge and ability to complete required paperwork.
• Willingness to transport/escort residents and operate a large van is a plus.

• Assist Navigation Club Director to offer life enrichment programs for residents with mild memory loss.

Responsibilities

• The Activities Assistant implements a wide array of programming for residents in our community and helps keep our residents engaged.
• Must be flexible with offering support in other departments within the community as needed. Completes required paperwork.
• Provides support to our Navigation Club Director to offer engaging life enrichment programs and experiences to a select group of residents with mildmemory loss.

Qualification

• We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and outgoing person who is able to work independently. Must be dependable, reliable and highly motivated.
• Must have excellent communication skills, professional demeanor and leadership abilities.
• Some computer knowledge and excellent customer service skills.
• Experience working and interacting with families in a customer based Senior Living environment.
• Experience working in Senior Living preferred.
• Music, theatre or exercise instruction skills a plus.
• Must be willing to transport/escort residents on community trips.
• Provides support to our Navigation Director for navigation programming.
• Operating a large van a plus.
