Job summary

Amira Choice of Roseville on Cleveland seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to support planning, execution, and evaluation of programs for residents. You will help run social events, lead activities, and coordinate outings, ensuring residents’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cognitive well-being in a warm senior living setting.

The role is part-time, with a 26-hour biweekly schedule, day shifts, and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in life enrichment or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with life enrichment programs and activities.
• Lead social events and activity programs.
• Conduct exercise class for residents.
• Coordinate life enrichment programs with other departments.
• Assist with planning and execution of outings outside the building.

Job Overview

Amira Choice of Roseville on Cleveland is a beautiful, well-designed senior living community that offers the highest level of distinction for our residents. We offer 80 senior units with a mix of Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care and Care Suites. Assists the Life Enrichment Director with planning, implementing, and evaluating the life enrichment programming which provides for the optimization of resident physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cognitive well-being. Life Enrichment Assistants help bring to life Ebenezer's cornerstones: Life Long Learning, Dimensions Program for Dementia Care, Crafted Culinary, Spiritual Care, Wellness and Intergenerational Programming.

This schedule includes:

• 26 hours per two weeks
• day shift
• every third weekend

Responsibilities

• Assists with life enrichment programs and activities:
• Leads social events and activity programs.
• Conducts exercise class for residents.
• Communicates and coordinates life enrichment programs with all departments.
• Assists other departments with special events and family functions.
• Documents as required.
• Offers suggestions and ideas to the Life Enrichment Director to improve the programming.
• Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents.
• Assists with the planning and execution of individual, small or large group outings outside the building, including assisting residents with boarding and deboarding from vehicles safely.
• Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents:
• Encourages resident participation.
• Reports change in resident attitude, mood, or physical status to appropriate staff.
• Promotes resident independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills.
• Assists residents in developing relationships and effectively socializing
