Job summary

Eskaton Lodge Gold River in Gold River, CA seeks a dedicated staff member to assist in planning and delivering life enrichment activities for residents. You will support the Wellness Program, tailor activities to residents' interests, and document engagement with care and dignity.

The role emphasizes teamwork, inclusion, and compliance with safety and HIPAA standards. Starting pay ranges from $19.40 to $24.44 per hour, with benefits, a 401(k) match, and opportunities to grow within a nonprofit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience working with elderly in recreational settings preferred.
• Knowledge of Title XXII and OBRA is a plus.

• Assist the Director of Resident Services in planning and facilitating Wellness (WellPath) programs.
• Adapt activities to resident preferences and abilities to ensure participation with dignity.
• Document attendance and engagement to inform future planning.
• Set up, operate, and maintain activity equipment and technology.
• Collaborate with volunteers, family members, and staff to run Life Enrichment programs.

Essential Job Functions

• Assists the Director of Resident Services in planning, organizing, and facilitating programs of the Wellness (WellPath) Program.
• Supports the creation of programs that reflect resident preferences, strengths, and life stories, adapting activities to meet varying abilities and ensuring all residents can participate with dignity and success.
• Contributes to resident plans of care by documenting individual interests, participation, and engagement patterns to support personalized, person-directed programming.
• Accurately documents resident attendance and engagement in daily programs, ensuring records inform future planning and uphold Eskaton0;s standards for quality and continuity of care.
• Sets up, operates, and maintains program equipment and technology to enhance engagement and ensure smooth, safe operation of activities and events.
  
• Collaborates with volunteers, family members, and fellow team members to ensure Life Enrichment programs run smoothly and reflect Eskaton0;s Welcoming and Empowerment values through inclusion and teamwork.

Compensation

Starting pay ranges from $19.40 per hour - $24.44 per hour. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and market considerations may influence base pay.

Qualifications

Education
High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D.

Training and Experience
Previous experience working with the elderly in a recreational setting preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of Title XXII and OBRA preferred. Understands the aspects of leading an activity.

Light Work

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
