Job summary

Caretta Senior Living of Eau Claire is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to help plan and lead a variety of activity programs tailored to residents' social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs. The role supports the Activity Coordinator and fosters a caring community for seniors in Eau Claire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services or long-term care facility serving a senior population.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs.
• Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
• Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities.
• Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident's best interest.

• Assess resident's recreational and social needs.
• Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
• Lead small, large and one on one activity programs with seniors.
• Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc.
• Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.
• Maintain the bus interior and exterior.
• Report maintenance needs in timely manner.
