STGi is seeking a Life Enrichment Aide to provide services at our Georgia War Veterans Home. GWVH will be opening a new unit that will be dedicated to the needs related to diagnoses of Veterans with PTSD, TBI, history of behavioral disorders, and substance use issues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·Responsible for the creation and maintenance of on-going therapeutic programs and activities to meet the diversified interests and therapeutic needs of assigned resident.

·Provides activities to assigned residents. Ensures that all activities are compliant with federal, state and facility policies.

·Ensures that all activity programming meets the interests and needs of assigned residents and have a therapeutic outcome to both improve residents’ quality of life and their overall functioning.

·Coordinates all aspects of therapeutic recreation program for assigned residents, including creating, scheduling, developing, implementing and evaluating programs designed to meet their therapeutic needs.

·Determines/assesses the individual interests and needs of each assigned resident

·Estimates time needed for activities and schedules accordingly.

·Coordinates, updates and maintains documentation and medical information for assigned residents

·Interacts with residents on a daily basis to affirm their self-esteem and to alleviate feelings of loneliness and depression.

Required Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

·Must have, as a minimum, one (1) years’ experience in an activities or recreation program

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

·Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field required.

NOTE:

As part of orientation, selected candidates will receive safety care training.

All shifts for Full-time and Part-time openings.
