Life Enrichment Aide - Behavioral Health - All shifts

STGi is seeking a Life Enrichment Aide to provide services at our Georgia War Veterans Home. GWVH will be opening a new unit dedicated to Veterans with PTSD, TBI, behavioral disorders, and substance use issues. If you have compassion and a passion for caring for Veterans, this could be the job for you!

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for creating and maintaining therapeutic programs and activities to meet residents' interests and needs.
2. Provides activities to residents, ensuring compliance with policies.
3. Ensures programming meets residents' interests and therapeutic needs to improve quality of life and functioning.
4. Coordinates all aspects of therapeutic recreation programs, including creating, scheduling, developing, implementing, and evaluating.
5. Assesses individual interests and needs of each resident.
6. Estimates time for activities and schedules accordingly.
7. Maintains documentation and medical information for residents.
8. Interacts daily with residents to affirm self-esteem and alleviate loneliness and depression.

Required Experience and Education

• Minimum of 1 year experience in activities or recreation programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or related field.

Selected candidates will receive safety care training during orientation. This position is available for all shifts, full-time and part-time, located at 2249 Vinson Highway SE, Milledgeville, GA.
