Job summary

Newton Presbyterian Manor is seeking a Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant to help develop and carry out engaging programs for residents. The role emphasizes person-centered care and prioritizes residents’ physical, emotional and social well-being within a faith-based, not-for-profit community.

Starting at $15.50 an hour, the position includes shift and weekend differentials and benefits as part of PMMA’s comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma desired.
• Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) required.
• One year experience in activities programs in a health care setting preferred.
• Long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• A Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting in developing and carrying out the life enrichment programs of the Community in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Advances the value that the resident comes first and provides for the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of the residents.

A Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting in developing and carrying out the life enrichment programs of the Community in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations May be directed by the department director or Executive Director to provide for the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of the residents. Also, advances the value that the resident comes first. The employee values the Community as the residents’ home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care.
