Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Life Enrichment (Activities) Assistant to brighten residents' days by planning and executing engaging activities, with calendar development, budgeting, and coordination with outside organizations.

You will transport residents in company vehicles when needed, ensure activities meet residents' needs and preferences, and adhere to safety guidelines while delivering compassionate enrichment experiences.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Age 25 or older to meet company insurance requirements.
• Clean driving record to meet company insurance requirements.
• Willingness and ability to transport residents in company vehicles.
• Experience with seniors, event planning, or lesson planning is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementation of resident activities, calendar development, budgeting, and coordination with outside organizations.
• Ensure activities meet residents' needs and preferences.
• Provide oversight for specific life enrichment components as assigned.
• Coordinate transportation of residents to and from events, driving company vehicle when needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff; follow policies and safety guidelines.

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the Life Enrichment team as a Life Enrichment (Activities) Assistant. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by planning and executing engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning and implementation of resident activities, to include calendar development, budgeting, coordinating with outside organizations, setup, and cleanup
• Helping to ensure activities meet the needs and preferences of residents
• Being willing to provide oversight of a specific life enrichment component (e.g. Memory Care, specific activity, etc.) as assigned
• Coordinating the transportation of residents to and from outside events to include driving company vehicle when needed
• Communicating effectively with residents and staff
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Required: Current, valid driver’s license

• Prefer: Experience working with one or more of the following: seniors, event planning, lesson planning, demonstrated creative skills
• Individual is required to perform standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout their shift.
