Job summary

Quail Park Communities in Visalia, CA is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant / Activities Assistant to help residents stay active, connected, and engaged through enriching programs and outings.

You will plan, facilitate, and tailor activities to residents' interests and abilities, support safety and well‑being, and assist with volunteers and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience with seniors or in senior living.
• Experience planning or leading social or recreational activities.
• CNA certification or prior elder care experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate activities, outings, events, and programs for residents.
• Encourage resident participation in activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual well‑being.
• Tailor activities to residents’ interests, abilities, life experiences, and preferences.
• Encourage meaningful social interaction and help residents build connections with one another.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers.
• Assist with event setup, implementation, and cleanup.
