Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a Life Coach for the Edmonds New Start Center, a 24/7 emergency housing facility for up to 45 individuals transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing. You will provide intake, housing navigation, and employment support within an on-site setting to promote stability and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with case management, motivational interviewing, mental health, chemical dependency, and domestic violence.
• Associate's Degree in social services field with at least 2 years of case management experience with low-income homeless individuals.
• Understanding homelessness, poverty, trauma, and diverse populations including veterans, families, elderly, disabled, LGBTQI, immigrants.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, victims of domestic violence, substance abuse, and employment services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed case management and resource coordination.
• Conduct intake, set and track client goals, and connect clients to community resources.
• Facilitate life skills workshops and monitor progress toward housing stability.
• Maintain accurate client records and follow EDNSC policies.
• Respond to emergencies with de-escalation and safety protocols.
