Role Description

The Life Coach is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD, two blocks north of the Inner Harbor. The Life Coach is responsible for supporting participants in overcoming barriers to employment and personal stability. This role includes conducting one-on-one coaching sessions, developing individualized action plans, and helping participants set and achieve realistic life and career goals. The Life Coach will coordinate referrals to internal programs and community resources, track participant progress, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Daily tasks also include facilitating group workshops, collaborating with case managers and job placement staff, and providing ongoing encouragement and accountability. The Life Coach is expected to build trusted relationships with participants while upholding professional boundaries and promoting an inclusive, trauma-informed environment.



Qualifications


  • Demonstrated ability in coaching, counseling, or case management, with strong skills in goal-setting, accountability, and motivational support.

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, conflict resolution, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

  • Organizational and documentation skills, with experience maintaining records, tracking outcomes, and using basic computer applications.

  • Knowledge of workforce development, community resources, and social services that support individuals with barriers to employment.

  • Experience working with adults and youth who may have disabilities, justice involvement, limited education, or unstable employment histories.

  • Ability to work on-site in Baltimore, MD, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to changing program needs.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field is preferred.

  • Relevant certifications or training in coaching, trauma-informed care, or behavioral health are a plus.
