Advisors Excel is seeking a Case Manager for the Life Operations team in Topeka, KS. You will support financial advisors through the life insurance process, guiding applications from submission to policy placement, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.

The role emphasizes building advisor relationships, managing a high-volume caseload, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional service to clients and advisors.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office products.
• 2–3 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• 1–2 years of case management and/or life underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the life insurance application workflow from submission through policy placement.
• Build strong relationships with advisors and serve as their trusted point of contact.
• Process incoming applications and ensure all required documentation is complete.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain updates, negotiate underwriting decisions, and resolve issues.
• Coordinate and communicate case statuses and final offers to agents.
• Review issued policies for accuracy.
• Partner closely with Life VP teams and internal underwriting resources.
• Support training efforts for new team members within the department.

Reporting to: Life Case Operations Manager

Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite

Overview:

As a Case Manager on our Life Operations team, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial advisors throughout the life insurance process. Serving as the primary point of contact for a dedicated group of advisors, you’ll help guide applications through underwriting, coordinate with insurance carriers, and ensure cases move efficiently from submission to policy placement.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, build strong advisor relationships, and help create positive outcomes for both advisors and their clients.

What you’ll do:

• Manage the life insurance application workflow from submission through policy placement

Experience you’ll bring:

• 2–3 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry
• 1–2 years of case management and/or life underwriting experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and relationship-building abilities
• Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
