Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with Life & Annuity and Service Operations experience to support a large-scale merger planning and integration initiative. This individual will partner closely with business and operational stakeholders to support strategic planning, operational readiness, process alignment, and execution activities related to the integration of retail life and annuity businesses.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance operations, specifically within life insurance and annuity products, and a proven track record of managing complex business transformation, merger, acquisition, or integration programs.
Pay Rate: $75 to $90 per hour W2
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate merger planning activities across life insurance, annuity, and service operations functions.
- Partner with business leaders, operations teams, and project stakeholders to define integration strategies, priorities, and timelines.
- Drive project governance, status reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and executive communications.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and planning sessions to identify operational impacts, dependencies, and integration opportunities.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities to ensure successful execution.
- Support operating model assessments, process harmonization efforts, and organizational readiness planning.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, meeting cadences, action-item tracking, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with business, technology, compliance, and operational teams to ensure alignment throughout the integration process.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful business outcomes.
Experience Requirements:
- 7+ years of Project Management experience leading large-scale business transformation initiatives.
- Direct experience within Life Insurance and/or Annuity operations.
- Strong understanding of insurance service operations, policy administration, customer servicing, claims, or related operational functions.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or organizational change initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders across complex environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting retail insurance businesses during merger or integration activities.
- Knowledge of life and annuity operational processes, servicing models, and regulatory considerations.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification.
- Experience working with large enterprise insurance carriers or financial services organizations.
