Reports to the chief of security. Directly supervises assigned sergeants. Responsible for the custody and discipline of inmates in the facility in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC), and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) directives.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of corrections experience in an adult correctional environment or related field required, six (6) months of which must be in a supervisory capacity. A valid driver’s license in the state of Mississippi with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
