Job summary

Municipal Credit Union seeks a Lien Perfection Specialist to ensure accurate and timely perfection of liens and security interests for Consumer Auto Loans. You will prepare, file, and maintain lien documents, verify regulatory compliance, and coordinate with lenders, internal teams, and external agencies to protect collateral.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in lien perfection, loan operations, legal documentation, or related financial services role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lien management systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process lien and security interest documentation, including vehicle titles and other collateral-related documents.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of liens with state, county, and federal agencies.
• Verify lien placement, continuations, amendments, and releases in compliance with policies.
• Conduct title searches to confirm priority and accuracy of perfected liens.
• Maintain accurate lien tracking systems and databases to monitor deadlines, expirations, and renewals.
• Collaborate with lending teams and legal to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper collateral documentation.
