Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process lien and security interest documentation, including vehicle titles and other collateral-related documents.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of liens with state, county, and federal agencies.
• Verify lien placement, continuations, amendments, and releases in compliance with policies.
• Conduct title searches to confirm priority and accuracy of perfected liens.
• Maintain accurate lien tracking systems and databases to monitor deadlines, expirations, and renewals.
• Collaborate with lending teams and legal to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper collateral documentation.

Position Summary:

The Lien Perfection Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely perfection of liens and security interests for all Consumer Auto Loans. This role involves preparing, filing, and maintaining lien documentation, verifying compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinating with internal teams, lenders, and external agencies to protect the organization’s collateral interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and process lien and security interest documentation, including vehicle titles, and other collateral-related documentations.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of liens with appropriate state, county, and federal agencies.
• Verify lien placement, continuations, amendments, and releases in compliance with company policies.
• Conduct title searches to confirm priority and accuracy of perfected liens.
• Maintain accurate lien tracking systems and databases to monitor filing deadlines, expirations, and renewals.
• Collaborate with the lending teams, and legal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper collateral documentation.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding lien status, documentation, and filing requirements.
• Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and reporting related to lien documentation.
• Stay current on regulatory changes impacting lien perfection processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in lien perfection, loan operations, legal documentation, or related financial services role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lien management systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, member-centric environment

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

The pay range for this position is between $21-42.23/hr. Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Employees in this position may also be eligible for an attendance bonus, 401(k) with an 8% employer contribution per pay period, and overtime eligibility. Benefits for this position include Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, flexible paid time off and 11 paid holidays annually.
