Scherer Design Group, LLC is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer with telecom site design experience to lead a team of engineers and CAD designers. The role emphasizes development of site layouts, mounting solutions, and construction drawings for new and existing cell sites.

The position is full-time and hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days in the office. Candidates should have civil engineering credentials and strong AutoCAD skills, with experience in tri‑state site development preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 4+ years telecom experience.
• If no degree, must have a minimum of 8 years telecom design experience.
• New site development experience required; tower sites/rooftops in tri-state area a plus.
• Experience with developing drawings in AutoCAD and standard construction drawing practices.

Responsibilities

• Design telecom sites from conception to construction, including layout from scratch, antenna mount design and site plan approval.
• Develop and review construction drawings, specifications, and detailing for new and existing cell sites.
• Perform site inspections and condition assessments and prepare reports.
• Lead and train junior engineers and CAD designers.
