Job summary

SAM is seeking a geospatial professional to support LiDAR and imagery processing for nationwide infrastructure projects. You will process geospatial data, evaluate accuracy, and compile mapping features from LiDAR point clouds and orthophotography.

Responsibilities include LiDAR classification, feature extraction, and collaboration with team members across offices. Proficiency with MicroStation and TerraSolid is highly valued, with ongoing opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with geospatial data processing workflows.
• Ability to evaluate data accuracy and ensure standards compliance.
• Ability to extract and compile mapping features from LiDAR and imagery.

• Daily processing of geospatial data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance to project and industry standards related to aerial mapping products
• Classification of LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from LiDAR point clouds
• Compilation of mapping features from orthophotography
• Other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Daily processing of geospatial data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, and ensuring compliance to applicable project and industry standards related to aerial mapping products

• Compilation of mapping features from orthophotography
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to SAM

• Eagerness to advance and grow in a geospatial career and a strong commitment to making significant contributions to the team
• Strong work ethic, demonstrated integrity, and personal accountability for contributing to the team's success
• Excellent computer and technical skills, including MS Office Suite
• Microstation and TerraSolid experience is highly preferred
• Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skill
• Experience with any of the following is preferred:
  • CAD
  • GIS
  • Orthophotography
  • LiDAR Point Clouds (highly preferred)
  • LiDAR Classification (highly preferred)
  • Mapping from LiDAR or Imagery (highly preferred)
