Job summary

Ouster Inc. seeks a Software Product Engineering Intern to own system engineering, product documentation, third-party integrations, and verification/validation for end-to-end Lidar software solutions.

You will bridge field feedback with product and engineering teams, develop use cases, and build POC demos that showcase our product in customer environments. This role reports to the VP of Product.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in relevant engineering/science field or recent graduate.
• Experience in manufacturing, robotics, or electro-mechanical systems is preferred.
• Experience with Python for test automation or data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between field and internal teams; distill customer feedback for product roadmap.
• Develop system-level use cases and verification/validation plans for use cases.
• Design and build proof-of-concept demos and integrations into customers’ tech stacks.
• Build integrations between Lidar platform and VMS like Genetec and Milestone.
• Create technical sales assets including demos, data sheets, ML datasets, and guides.
• Triage customer-reported bugs and diagnose root causes in the product.
