Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Lidar and Camera Development Engineer to work on advanced optical sensor systems for lunar vehicles. This position involves collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to develop innovative hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with lidar systems and strong engineering skills.

The successful applicant will take part in the full lifecycle of optical systems from concept to flight hardware, playing a key role in supporting Blue Origin's mission of creating a sustainable space infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with lidar, laser systems, or vision-based guidance systems.
• Experience in testing and calibration of optical imaging systems.
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary optical-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop lidar and vision-based optical sensor hardware.
• Support the testing of prototype hardware.
• Communicate development challenges to management.
