Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a full-time Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to provide psychotherapy and social work services to patients and families. The role includes assessment, treatment, education, care coordination, and resource linkage, with opportunities for individual, group, and family interventions in the assigned clinical setting.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, adherence to NASW ethics, and licensure as an LICSW in Alabama;

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• Must adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
• Psychotherapy experience preferred.
• Currently licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners required.

Responsibilities

• To provide psychotherapy and social work services to patients and families, including assessment, treatment, education, care coordination, and resource linkage.
• To deliver individual, group, and family interventions as appropriate to the assigned clinical setting.
