Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services seeks a skilled Agencies and Institutions Licensing Specialist under the Upward Mobility Program in Naperville. You will conduct licensing studies, investigations, and reviews for child welfare agencies and facilities to ensure safe environments for children.

Ideal candidates have relevant social work education, professional casework experience, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s in social work or related field with 1 year of related professional casework/case management.
• Bachelor’s in social work with 1 year of related professional experience.
• Bachelor’s in a related field with 2 years of related professional casework/case management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Agencies and Institutions Licensing Specialist.
• Plan, arrange, and conduct licensing orientation for clients seeking licensure.
• Prepare licensing statistical reports by deadlines.
• Review compliance of child care institutions and group homes.
• Provide input into hearings on service and licensing issues.
• Maintain client records per rules and guidelines.
• Collaborate with Office of Contract Administration and monitoring units.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the role.
