Job summary

Basic Fun! in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Licensing Specialist to coordinate, submit, and track licensing approvals across our licensed product portfolio. This full-time, on-site role supports internal teams and licensor partners, ensuring accurate filings and timely submissions.

You will work with the Senior Manager and Senior VP of Global Licensing & Marketing, travel as needed, and help maintain our high standards of accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in presentation creation including PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including high level skill in Excel, especially Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• Have a curious and creative attitude and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills around consumers’ needs.
• Ability to be highly functional with minimal direction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines.
• Is obsessed with accuracy and pays great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, submission, and tracking of all licensing approval requests across the company’s Licensed product portfolio.
• Work with licensors and internal teams to manage submission and approvals processes.
• Maintain interaction with Licensor approval systems and Basic Fun!’s internal approvals system.
• Coordinate licensor production samples per contract.
• File license applications across jurisdictions and respond to follow-up requests.

Position Overview:

The Licensing Specialist is responsible for the coordination, submission and tracking of all licensing approval requests across the company’s Licensed product portfolio.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Work collaboratively with internal partners to manage the product submission and approvals process as per Milestones calendars with a diverse portfolio of licensors pertaining to Basic Fun! This includes packaging and marketing submissions as well.
• Manage and maintain the interaction with Licensor’s approval systems & software, as well as Basic Fun!’s internal approvals system
• Responsible for coordination for Licensor production samples, as per contract.
• Oversee and manage the preparation, execution, and timely and accurate filing of all license applications in all jurisdictions where the Company conducts business, or as is otherwise required.
• Work with the Senior Manager of Licensing to ensure the timely and accurate completion and submission of license applications, as well as responses to follow up requests from regulatory agencies.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Vice President of Global Licensing & Marketing and Senior Manger of Licensing to assist with and monitor licensing applications and renewals.
• Provide support to the Creative Services, Product Development, and Marketing Teams regarding Licensor Style Guides and Assets requests and on-line access to Licensor asset portals.
• Maintain absolute custody, control, and confidentiality of all information encountered during the course of work.
• Provide support to a cross-functional team responsible of responding to Licensor Audits, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the Sr. Vice President of Global Licensing & Marketing and Senior Manager of Licensing.
• Full-time on-site position located at our company’s headquarter offices in Boca Raton, Florida.
