The Oregon Board of Accountancy licenses and regulates about 8,000 certified public accountants, public accountants, municipal auditors, and 1,000 public accounting firms. We protect the public by ensuring applicants meet education requirements, demonstrate professional competence, and complete required continuing education.

What You Will Do

We are seeking a Licensing Specialist to provide administrative, analytical, and technical support for our licensing program. In this role, you will review applications, evaluate continuing education, support Board committee work, and provide guidance to applicants, licensees, and partners.

• Review and process initial, renewal, reciprocity, and reinstatement applications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preference Statement: Preference may be given to candidates with experience interpreting and applying rules, statutes, and documented standards in a government or licensing environment.

This recruitment is for 1 permanent, full-time, unrepresented Administrative Specialist 1 position, and may be used to fill future vacancies. *The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range.
