Job Title: Licensing Officer

The Licensing Officer is responsible for cultivating and sustaining deep relationships with university faculty and staff creators and developers of innovations in the College of Engineering. Working closely with the Licensing and IP Management team and Capital and Translation team within Innovation and Commercialization, the Licensing Officer will be a trusted advisor and liaison to faculty and staff creators in the areas of technology licensing and commercialization.
This role includes identifying university-owned innovations with commercial applications, evaluating the business case for these innovations, preparing non-confidential summaries for marketing purposes, supporting the development and implementation of specific marketing strategies for these innovations, and participating in negotiation of license and option agreements with new and existing partners.
The salary range for this job profile is $88,300.00 - $113,350.00, annually. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on multiple factors including internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.

This position has flexibility for remote work opportunities although the strong preference is for location in Columbus, Ohio with on-site work.
