Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Towson, MD, seeks a Licensing Manager to drive Power Tools licensing with external partners in a hybrid role. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across ID, engineering, legal and commercialization to deliver licensed products on roadmap milestones.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of licensing or brand management experience.
  • Experience with new product development processes (stage-gate) highly desired.
  • Experience managing external partners or licensees.
  • Exposure to quarterly business reviews, annual planning, or partner performance reviews.
  • Experience in tools, hardware, construction, industrial products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute Stanley Black & Decker’s Power Tools Licensing Business with partners.
  • Develop 3-year strategic plans with licensing partners including roadmaps.
  • Coordinate licensed product development with cross-functional teams (ID, engineering, legal, commercialization).
  • Review, coordinate, and approve assets for packaging and merchandising in the licensing portal.
  • Lead onboarding sessions with new licensing partners and teams.
  • Collect assets and information from partners for internal reports and updates.
  • Manage intake forms for social influencer requests, website uploads, and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in developing brand strategy for key licensees aligned with core content.
  • Develop website content, schedule emails and social posts, and connect licensing with influencers and campaigns.
  • Conduct regular retail store walks to monitor brand presence and market impact.

You’ll get to:Responsible for managing and executing Stanley Black & Decker’s Power Tools Licensing Business, with both new and existing partners.Assist in the development of 3 year strategic plans with licensing partners to include product roadmaps and product development.Manage licensed product development projects with cross-functional teams including ID, engineering, legal, and commercialization teams.Review, coordinate and approve assets for packaging and merchandising in the licensing portal.Quarterback and coordinate approvals for concept, ID and engineering steps in the portal.Update on-boarding decks for new licensing partners and lead the onboarding sessions in collaboration with teams (licensing agency, ID, brand, engineering, finance).Collect key assets and information from licensed partners on new products, marketing initiatives, and critical business updates for internal meetings and report outs.Manage intake forms for social influencer requests, website uploads, trade show samples, and other marketing initiatives.Assist in developing brand strategy for key licensees that is consistent with the core brand content. This will include: Developing website content (product pages, landing pages, ideas + inspiration content), scheduling email marketing and social media posts and working with the licensees and brand team to create content, working with internal teams to connect licensing programs with social influencers, sponsorships and tv ad campaigns.Perform regular retail store walks to develop awareness of competitive brands in market, shelf presence, and competitive landscapes.
