• Clear communicator who can partner cross-functionally.
• Retail planning or apparel licensing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, projections & financial planning: Own and maintain short- and long-range forecasts by brand, retailer, category, and contract term.
• Performance analysis & modeling: Analyze actual vs forecast, translate insights to leadership, support budgeting and long-range planning.
• Reporting & cross-functional support: Prepare forecast updates and financial reporting; align with Sales, Production, and Operations.
• Ad-hoc analysis: Lead special analyses for new launches, programs, and strategic initiatives.

Overview

We're looking for a Licensing Financial Analyst to support and scale our growing licensing and brand partnerships business. This role sits at the intersection of finance, licensing, and retail, with a primary focus on forecasting, financial planning, projections, and performance analysis across a diverse portfolio of licensed brands, retailers, and IP.

This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Licensing, Sales, and Finance to build accurate forecasts, improve visibility into future performance, identify risks and opportunities, and strengthen financial planning as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting, Projections & Financial Planning

• Own and maintain short- and long-range sales and revenue forecasts by brand, retailer, category, and contract term
• Build projections using bookings, open orders, retail plans, historical performance, shipment timing, and other key business drivers
• Partner with Sales and Licensing to understand order flows, timing shifts, retail placement changes, and other factors impacting forecast accuracy
• Develop scenario models and sensitivity analyses to quantify upside, downside, and key areas of risk

Performance Analysis & Modeling

• Analyze actual and booked performance versus forecast, budget, and prior year to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
• Translate retail and sales activity into clear financial implications and actionable recommendations for leadership
• Support annual budgeting, long-range planning, and financial goal setting across the licensing portfolio
• Model new licensing deals, renewals, amendments, and new business opportunities to assess financial potential and expected return

Reporting & Cross-Functional Support

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast updates and financial reporting for Licensing leadership
• Partner with Sales, New Business, Finance, Production, and Operations to align forecasts with bookings, production timing, and expected shipment flows
• Maintain clear, accurate financial models, trackers, assumptions, and supporting documentation
• Lead ad-hoc financial analysis related to new launches, retail programs, retailer performance, and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Strong forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and variance analysis experience required

• Retail planning experience is a strong plus; apparel, consumer products, entertainment, or licensing experience is also preferred
