Job summary

Pala Band of Mission Indians' Pala Gaming Commission is seeking a Licensing Clerk to enter data from gaming license applications for backgrounds as required by PGC regulations, NIGC requirements, and the California Tribal-State Gaming Compact. You will maintain the Commission’s databases, scan documents, and ensure accuracy and timely filing under the Licensing Manager’s guidance.

The role requires English literacy with Spanish preferred, a high school diploma, and proficiency in office

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to read and write English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Able to work effectively with PGC staff and casino employees.
• Gaming experience preferred.
• High School diploma; college coursework preferred.
• Proficient in office software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
• Drug-Free workplace compliance and pre-employment/random testing.

Responsibilities

• Enter all data from gaming license applications into the Commission’s database.
• Maintain databases in compliance with regulations and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Scan documents from licensees’ files into the database and verify accuracy.
• Review scanned documents and transfer to appropriate licensee files.
• Handle confidential information in a professional manner.
• Assist Licensing Agents and comply with Commission Regulations.
• Analyze procedures and recommend changes to the Licensing Manager.
• Interact with Tribal Executive Committee, Commissioners and PGC staff.
• Maintain Commission files and records according to prescribed Regulations.
• Work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
