Job summary

Publix is seeking a Licensing Specialist to coordinate, obtain, and maintain business licenses, permits and registrations for all Publix locations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. The role involves researching licenses, renewing, and communicating with store management and government entities.

Ideal candidates have a degree or equivalent analytical experience, several years in licensing or regulatory work, and strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3 years’ experience in an analytical field.
• Notary and/or Paralegal Studies Certification.
• Knowledge of licensing requirements across federal, state and local levels.

Responsibilities

• researching and obtaining business licenses, permits and registrations for Publix locations
• maintaining and renewing expiring licenses, permits and registrations
• communicating with Publix store management, state and local governments and law enforcement officials
• project managing and providing status updates on license renewals
• performing licensing tasks to comply with regulatory requirements
