Job Duties
Licensing & Registration Administration
  • Understanding of cannabis licensing requirements, patient certification processes, and product registration standards.
  • Ability to review applications for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Skill in managing high volume administrative workflows and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to support fee collection, reporting requirements, and system data integrity.
Regulatory Compliance Support
  • Ability to identify potential compliance issues during application and documentation review.
  • Ability to reliably report facility concerns to compliance and enforcement staff.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements governing cannabis facilities and product standards.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Ability to prepare and maintain organized documentation supporting program oversight.
  • Skill in drafting reports related to licensing, product registration, and regulatory matters.
  • Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate and auditable records.
Stakeholder & Public Interaction
  • Strong communication skills for responding to inquiries from a diverse group of program stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide clear guidance on licensing requirements and program processes.
  • Professionalism in representing the agency in interactions with cannabis facilities and the public.
Administrative & Technical Proficiency
  • Ability to use licensing databases, registration systems, and document management tools.
  • Skill in managing confidential information in accordance with state and agency policies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced regulatory environment.

  • Follow workplace safety regulations and adhere to applicable standards, processes, and programs established for your position.
  • Report unsafe work conditions to your supervisor.
  • Immediately report work-related incidents to your supervisor and participate in accident investigation requests.

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, health administration, regulatory affairs, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Minimum Experience
  • Experience in administrative support, licensing, permitting, or regulatory program operations.
  • Experience working with the public or in an environment with a strong focus on customer service.
