Job summary

You will perform field tests, maintain equipment, and assist with safety and quality objectives in a hands-on plant environment. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a Florida water plant operator license (C, with preference for A/B).

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate assigned machines and equipment meeting processing targets.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English for operational instructions.
• Must learn process control software and adapt to plant systems.
• Team-oriented with flexibility for on-call or emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges.
• Record meter readings and operational data.
• Operate equipment to purify and clarify water or process waste.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, grounds and work areas.
• Follow EPA and Florida regulations; ensure safety standards are met.
• Tends to pumps, engines, valves, and related equipment; adjust controls as needed.
• Perform field tests and prepare chemical solutions; monitor chemical supplies.
• Performs basic maintenance and drives plant vehicles as needed.
• Adhere to production schedules and assist in other areas as required.
